Intrepid reveals record FY2025 financial, impact and customer results

Intrepid Travel reveals record FY2025 financial, impact and customer results

March, 2026

Certified B Corp delivers outstanding year, driven by organic growth and acquisitions

Intrepid Travel has delivered its best-ever result in its 37-year history – achieving record results across financial, impact and customer metrics in 2025 and building on the momentum of recent years and reinforcing its position as a global leader in purpose led travel.

Despite geopolitical headwinds and growing global uncertainty in 2025, the world’s largest adventure company achieved $873.3m (+26% YoY) in bookings; $809.3 in revenue (+29%); $53.9m (+26%) Underlying EBITDA; and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 83.

These results, outlined in Intrepid's 2025 Integrated Annual Report reflect growing demand for experience-rich, community focused travel, alongside disciplined operational performance and ongoing investment in people, impact and long-term growth.

Solid financial performance supports future growth

Intrepid’s strong increases in bookings and revenue were underpinned by growing demand for its style of experience-rich travel, with standout growth across the Australia and UK markets, as well as the additions through the acquisition of Dutch tour operator Sawadee Reizen.

Underlying EBITDA reached $53.9m, reflecting the strength of Intrepid’s core business and an increased focus on efficient operations. Growth in its core came from organic growth in key sales markets.

The business continued to share its success with its people, with $10.7m in employee bonuses being offered in the form of both cash and shares. This is in line with Intrepid’s long-held belief that Intrepid should be owned by the people who run it. The company has a goal to double the current employee shareholding to 20 per cent. In addition to the employee bonus, the Board also approved a dividend for eligible shareholders – the third consecutive year that a dividend has been awarded.

Growing impact alongside profit

Beyond financial performance, it was another milestone year for Intrepid’s impact agenda, including its not-for-profit, The Intrepid Foundation, disbursing a record $3.4m (+42% YoY) to communities around the world.

The annual report also outlines the company’s new 5-year Impact Strategy and its new Climate Action Plan, which includes launching a new $2m annual Climate Impact Fund from 2026 onwards for decarbonisation initiatives.

Customers and people at the centre

Intrepid’s customer satisfaction was its highest ever in 2025, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 83, reflecting consistently high levels of operations and trust from travellers around the world.

When it comes to the company’s people, Intrepid experienced a 10-point decline in its eNPS to 54, as a result of greater focus on efficiency coupled with strong growth. Employee engagement remained strong at 80, demonstrating that Intrepid’s global team of 3,574 employees and tour leaders (+3% YoY) remain engaged and proud to work for the business.

James Thornton, Intrepid’s CEO, said the 2025 results reflect the enduring strength of the company’s purpose-led model: “Our 2025 performance shows that it is possible to grow a resilient, profitable business while staying true to our values – even in the face of global uncertainty,” said Thornton.

“At a time when the world is more divided than ever, I’m incredibly proud that more travellers are choosing to experience the world the Intrepid way. These results are testament to our team, who deliver exceptional experiences for our customers while creating positive impact for communities,” he added.
