Why you'll love this trip

  • Explore the many wonders of Kakadu National Park on foot, from rock art sites to the amazing lookouts and walking trails.

  • Experience the hospitality of the First Nations custodians of the land at a resort owned and operated by the Djabulukgu Association.

  • Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre which contains a wealth of information about Kakadu National Park, it’s history, people, and wildlife.

  • Cool off in some of the Northern Territory’s most beautiful waterholes, rivers and natural pools as you go swimming in the National Parks.

  • Enjoy several included picnic lunches in the best secret spots, known only to a handful of people including our experienced tour leaders.

Is this trip right for you?

  • This is a walking trip so you need to have good physical fitness to fully enjoy it.

  • On many days we mix walking and driving as we plan to visit several trails on any given day.

  • We may need to share bathroom facilities with other guests at the First Nations’ owned and operated resort on this tour.

  • If the Gunlom swimming area is closed or cannot be reached due to high water, an alternate walk will be offered, such as the one to the Upper Pools at Leliyn (Edith Falls).

  • Just as a heads up before you book: this trip is new to our range this year. And while we have thoroughly researched every detail of the logistics, new destinations can sometimes throw us some unexpected surprises. More often than not, it’ll be a great surprise. But every now and again there might be a hiccup. We like to think that’s what puts the ‘adventure’ in ‘adventure travel’.
