Canada tours in August 2024

Summer in Canada, how about it, eh?

If Canada doesn’t show on your summer destination shortlist, you might want to give it a re-think. Although this is typically known as an Arctic country, the warmer months are just as noteworthy with a host of heart-warming and heart-skipping experiences for any kind of traveller. Go just about as north as you can go on a 12-day boating tour to the remote Arctic islands. But if you’re not keen on rugging up in August (we understand), then work up a sweat on a stroll through the Canadian Rockies, eat fresh lobster in Maritime Canada, dodge down rapids on the Sunshine Coast or lookout for Canada's majestic woodland animals at Mt Revelstoke National Park.

Maritime trip with Intrepid was perfectly perfect in itinerary, accommodation, tour guide and age group of the trip, it was perfectly planned by Intrepid the way I am so happy and I will go again and again with Intrepid to my pocket list destinations.

Canadian Rockies

This was a wonderful adventure because of the itinerary, the spectacular surroundings, the good arrangements, the tiptop gear and van at our disposal, our awesome trip leader as well as the positive attitude of my fellow travelers. I was the odd on out regarding age, but they were all very inclusive of me. There was a good balance of hiking and other activities like the paddling in the less visited Wells Gray Park where we heard the call of the loon, a symbol of the wilderness, and also viewed two of the most spectacular waterfalls you could ever hope to see, as well as witnessing the futile attempts of salmon to jump up a rapid in the Clearwater river. The other sights in Jasper, and Banff and Yoho and Glacier National Parks were as spectacular as I had imagined them to be, but then, I love the mountains. I shall seek out my next trip with great anticipation.

Hiking in the Canadian Rockies

Jo · Traveled August 2023
Amazing trip with stunning scenery around every corner. Great guides and lucky to have a fun group. Camping was fine however you need good levels of fitness as most of walks include steep uphill climbs. Loved the additional excursions like kayaking, rafting and glacier walking! A trip to remember!

Grand Canadian Rockies

An amazing trip with spectacular scenery and wildlife along the way. Another well organised trip by Intrepid that seems to get the popular and less known spots balance just right. Thanks Marie-Eve for a memorable trip.
