Take a really cool history class in Peru

There’s something for the whole family to learn at Machu Picchu. Did you know this 15th century citadel was built with stones stacked so tightly – without mortar – that not even a knife blade will fit between them? Make tortillas with a Maya family

Family and food are at the heart of Mexican culture, so what better way to experience local traditions than a cooking class with a Maya family? Head inland to the small village of Laguna Chabela in the Yucatan Peninsula, where you’ll meet your hosts, explore their farm and learn how they live off the land. Then get your handy floury while you make a fresh batch of tortillas for lunch.

Small, family-only groups

Our average group size of 10 (usually 3 to 5 like-minded families) means we can use local transport, eat at family-run restaurants, and stay in traditional guesthouses and homestays. All relations are welcome – as long as you’re with a child aged between 5 and 17, you’re a family in our eyes.

One of the hardest parts of family travel is keeping everyone happy, which is why our trips have loads of fun, educational activities for all ages. We keep travel time to a minimum, use hotels with pools where we can and include plenty of downtime so you and the kids can do your own thing. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kids' hobbies or curriculum.

Safety first

Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures and they get along great with the kids. You can also relax knowing we use trusted local operators and run safety assessments on all our activities and transport to make sure they meet our strict safety policy. You'll all be well taken care of.
