India Tours & Holidays

There’s probably no other country on the planet that blazes its way into your memory like India.

Years later, you can still hear the morning calls of the chai wallahs; see smoke curling over the Ganges during a golden Varanasi sunrise, and smell the rich aromas of simmering curry. A lot of India tours rush from highlight to highlight, ticking them off in a blur of temples and tikka. But not us. Our India holidays are more about spotting Bengal tigers in Ranthambhore or Panna National Park, hanging with nomads in Jaisalmer, meeting the holy men of Pushkar, or hunting down the best street eats. This isn’t just the India you see on postcards. This is India as it is. Raw, bizarre and totally addictive.

Real Kathmandu to Delhi

Saw a lot in such a small amount of time - good for people with not a lot of time and who want to see A LOT. The tour guides very knowledgeable and help avoid any chances of illness/danger that could occur. Harsh our tour guide made sure we were always informed of potinational risks but still making it a hoot ! Overnight train was the highlight - true india style.

Mountains & Mystics of India

Meena · Traveled May 2023
This trip itinerary allows one to be able to see a part of India that isn't so common for the average tourist to the region. Grateful to see so many world religions represented in a two week experience. There are long travel days which can be tiring but breaks are included for meals along the way. Weather can be of extremes - some days quite cold and some days quite hot - pack accordingly. Hotel accommodations are sufficient but not luxury. The itinerary is light on activities leaving plenty of free time to explore per day. This tour will not feel jam packed so it isn't right for you if you're looking for a busy itinerary. It will feel leisurely. Our tour guide (Maddy) was organized, easy to communicate with, and facilitated seeing this complex country with ease.

South India Revealed

Cheryl · Traveled April 2023
South India is a place I always wanted to visit. It was a revelation, from the Kerala backwaters to the landscape of Hampi. We were a small group of 4 and we all gelled very well together. Our leader Afshar was one of the best I’ve had with Intrepid.

Classic Rajasthan

Linda · Traveled April 2023
This trip totally exceeded my expectations. Everything - from the accomodations, to the people in my group, to the leader, to the sights, to the transportation - was honestly great. We had such a nice time together and enjoyed this trip a lot! I am also not a group tour kind of person but as a female single traveller in India I couldn't be happier with going on this Intrepid trip. Big thanks to our awesome tour leader Yaddu, we learnt a lot about life in India and spent a great time all together!
