- Walk along the rim of Crater Lake National Park – this natural wonder was formed 7700 years ago from the collapse of a mountain peak and is now the deepest lake in the USA fed by rain and snow.
- Get a feel for what makes the Pacific Northwest’s beaches so special with a visit to Kalaloch, famous for its ‘Tree of Life’ – its roots holding onto nothing but air!
- Head to the USA’s best wine region for Pinot Noir – Willamette Valley – and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery in the valley, with gorgeous views of sprawling vineyards, hills and forest.
- Wander around natural areas that will inspire awe – like the cascades of Multnomah Falls near Portland and the peaceful Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park.
- This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
- From the redwoods to the rainforest, this trip can involve a lot of walking. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes. To make the most of the trip, it's best if you have at least a moderate level of fitness.
- Crater Lake National Park can get quite cold during the winter months, and it’s not uncommon for snow to still be on the ground in June. Make sure you pack appropriate layers for this, including wet weather gear.
