Why you'll love this trip
  • This short but sweet adventure is packed full of experiences that will give you great insight into Cambodia and the contrasts between three of the region's most fascinating countries.
  • Watch the sun rising over Angkor Wat as it did over 800 years ago with your leader. Wander through the amazing ancient temples on a guided tour and with a three-day Angkor pass to cover your whole time in Siem Reap, you can explore this incredible temple complex as much and as often as you like.
  • Discover the countryside around Battambang on a bike ride around rural farms to meet with local producers, through an Intrepid partner and social enterprise that supports the local communities and provides training opportunities.
  • Experience life on water on a boat tour visiting the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake and understand the deep bond between the lake and the local communities.
  • Join in a confronting yet important tour in Phnom Penh to The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and reflect on its devastating impact on the modern Cambodia.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, CRST. Donations help them break the cycle of poverty in Cambodia by inspiring and empowering children with education opportunities.

Is this trip right for you?
  • If you’d like to spend more time in South East Asia, have a look at the combos that include this trip’s itinerary: Best of Vietnam & Cambodia (TVSKC), South East Asia Loop (TTSVC) and Vietnam & Cambodia Adventure (TVSLC).
  • There are some long travel days on private and public transport on this trip (up to 10 hours on the road), including the days that you cross from Vietnam to Cambodia and Cambodia to Thailand. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
  • Some travellers enjoy Siem Reap so much that they decide they want to stay extra days rather than continue with the group to Bangkok. You are welcome to sign off the trip to enjoy more of Cambodia, however we’re unable to reimburse any unused services or provide alternate onward travel arrangements.

Cambodia is a fantastic country and not at all what I was expecting! My interest in the country was accelerated from the first day and I enjoyed every aspect! The people were super friendly and welcoming and the landscape and cities were incredible! Our intrepid tour guide Channa was funny, friendly and super factual and always kept us laughing and learning. She is a fantastic tour leader.

I highly recommend Intrepid Travel. I could never have put together a trip like that on my own. With the small group size, the knowledge and expertise of the leader along with the itinerary, I felt very taken care of. I will book

We travelled the first time to Cambodia and enjoyed the experience very much. Muny was an awesome tour guide with great and detailed knowledge. We appreciated in particular that he could share a lot of insights of the daily life of the various communities we have visited but also the sad past of the country, which was very informative but of course very emotional. Cambodia is a country of its own league, with such a variety of places and experiences that it is not comparable to other countries we have visited so far. We can recommend this travel unconditionally. And the food, of course, was delicious!
