Take on the challenge of Australia’s most famous trek – the Cradle Mountain Overland track – and take in some of Tasmania’s most stunning scenery. With two expert mountain guides at your side, you’ll make your way through temperate rainforest and groves of eucalypts, across alpine moors and through valleys, skirt the edges of bright blue lakes and take in views of waterfalls and towering peaks in the distance. Camp on the edges of historic huts under star-filled skies, wake up to dramatic landscapes and take the chance to tackle side trips like summitting the island’s highest peak Mt Ossa. This active adventure with Intrepid is one of the best ways to take in an iconic trek and landscape.

Excellent trip, excellent guides (Josh and Louie), excellent food (thanks Senna), excellent organisation (thanks Stan). Fantastic trip all round, we were the last trip of the season and had sun for the first 3 days and really only rained during hiking for the last 3 days. Couldn’t fault it!

Do not take a trip with Intrepid. They do not care about your safety or wellbeing - multiple emails were not responded to and ultimately felt very very uncomfortable.

Amazing trip! I was so lucky to have Samson and Josh as my guides. They made the trip so special by looking out for the group and preparing the best camp food (and sneaky hot chocolates). The scenery, wildlife and just the elated feeling of completing the trek. This was a bucket list trip and I'm so glad I did it!
