- Witness not only one of the Seven Wonders of the World but two! Take a guided tour of the mother of all Inca ruins at Machu Picchu, nestled on the top of the Andes, then see the immense Christ the Redeemer overlooking Rio de Janeiro.
- The floating reed islands of Uros on Lake Titicaca are like something out of a Pixar or Studio Ghibli movie! Take a boat tour on the world's highest navigable lake and then stay with a local family in a traditional mudbrick house.
- Discover colourful capital cities Buenos Aires in Argentina's sultry centre, and party-town Cusco in Peru. You’ll have plenty of free time to explore on your own and a local leader who knows all the best spots.
- Explore the lush landscapes of the Ibera Wetlands in search of anacondas, otters, howler monkeys, turtles, capybaras, wildcats and a vast array of colourful birds.
- With included visits to Iguazu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides, you'll get every perspective of these epic cascades.
- By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, Awamaki. Donations help them empower indigenous women artisans in Peru with skills training and job opportunities that provide financial independence.
- This trip visits places that are at high altitude, and as a result some people can suffer from altitude sickness, regardless of age or physical health. Please see the ‘Medical and Health Information’ section of the Essential Trip Information for more details.
- There are several orientation walks and city tours during this trip, so there will be quite a lot of walking. It’s important to always bring plenty of water, wear comfortable walking shoes and ensure you use adequate sun protection. Wearing layers is a good way to tackle the heat.
- According to Machu Picchu visiting regulations, all visitors must follow a pre-determined route within the site. This route must be followed in one direction only, and once the guided visit commences exiting and re-entering the site is not permitted. Once the guided visit concludes, visitors must exit the site and personal exploration of Machu Picchu is not permitted. Please refer to the itinerary for details.
