Why you'll love this trip
  • Only Petra’s Treasury is stunning enough to be the temple of the Holy Grail (well, according to Indiana Jones at least), and you’ll be blown away on two days exploring the majesty of this wonder.
  • Stop off at the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you’ll have a chance to float in its famously salty waters and soak up its healing minerals.
  • Sleep under the stars at a Bedouin-style camp with all the creature comforts, waking for a stunning sunrise and a thrill-seeking 4WD adventure.
  • Take a guided walk of Amman to learn about the city’s diverse history, and also to stake out where to get the best falafel.
  • Get a taste of the ancient and modern sides of Jordan with your enthusiastic and knowledgeable local leader, ready to answer every question and provide the best local tips.

Is this trip right for you?
  • It’s not all hot desert days in Jordan, as the winter months (December through to February) can be quite cold. Temperatures in northern parts of the country can drop to freezing overnight. Snowfall around these areas as well as Amman is common. Pack smart so that you’re prepared for varying temperatures if travelling during these months.
  • You’re the boss! Not just in general, but also on this trip, where there’s free time to do whatever you want, or optional tours to show you the way. Maybe budget a little extra cash for activities that aren’t included.
  • Unless you’re planning on doing some muscle-building on your holiday, we recommend not packing too much – you’ll need to carry your own bags from hotels, bus stops, train stations etc.
  • This trip spends two nights in Wadi Rum - which is a super cultural highlight, we hope you like sand?

Really well organised. The itinerary involved the perfect amount of time in each place (Amman, Wadi Rum, Petra and the Dead Sea). Wadi Rum definitely the most memorable. Abdullah (tour leader) great dude and made the experience even more enjoyable.

This was an amazing trip. Once in a life time. The desert camp and Petra were absolutely the two highlights. Our tour leader was great and ensured our safety through-out.

I had an amazing time of this trip. We packed so many incredible experiences into only a week and I had a great taste of the local culture. Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea were all incredible highlights and I made such great friends on the trip.

“Yalla habbibi”. A fantastic holiday, highly recommend. Our guide Belal was entertaining and looked after us. The 18-29 group age option is great to meet likeminded people. Highlight was Wadi Rum dessert! Lots of places to walk and explore in desert and Petra above and beyond the itinerary (making this a 3/5 physicality rating)
