Our onboard Photography Workshop Program is an opportunity for photography enthusiasts of any skill level to fast track their learning on board, gain access to expert advice and to make photography a focus of your expedition with us. We understand that for many – whether a seasoned professional or a beginner – this voyage is your photographic opportunity of a lifetime. For those wishing to come home with that award winning Gentoo penguin image or just wanting more time to perfect an iceberg shot that will one day hang on your wall, the Photography Program is designed to give you the time, advice, equipment and opportunity to make sure you walk off the gangway with all the photographs you envisioned and more. By joining this program, you will also have exclusive access to ride in our Zodiacs – that get you to the action faster, travel further to discover more and allow you the space to get creative.

For most, a voyage to Antarctica is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture images of one of the least-photographed and last true wildernesses on Earth. Through our partnership with Sony Australia, we put industry-leading equipment in your hands and the world’s best photographers at your side. Whether your goal is to change the world through photographs or simply to capture Antarctica in the best light possible, we want to give you the tools and the guidance to do so. At a sensitive time for our planet’s climate, photographs of the Antarctic and its inhabitants can play an important role in shaping the future of the continent. And at Intrepid, we believe every Antarctic visitor has the opportunity to document this unique ecosystem and to help tell the story of Antarctica.

As our Photography Program will cover instructions from taking photos to editing them, we encourage photographers to bring their cameras and other photography equipment as well as their devices to transfer and process images. Through a partnership with Sony Australia, we will provide industry-leading equipment for you to try onboard with the help of our Sony Ambassadors.

To give you the best possible opportunity to capture amazing images, you will have dedicated Zodiac and photography guided landings. Your Polar Photography Guides will accompany you and give you tips and tricks along the way for taking that perfect picture. As a small group, you will be able to capture uninterrupted images of the surroundings and wildlife with ease.
