- Hike to one of the most beautiful lookout spots in the park, the summit of Mt. Washburn, and take in the views of Yellowstone Lake, the Teton Range, and Electric Peak.
- Drive to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone – a giant rift in a landscape of forested hills - and take a short stroll to Artist Point for more phenomenal waterfall views.
- Take in the glittering waters of Yellowstone Lake on a hike to Storm Point, a relatively flat loop that leads to a stunning vista of the largest lake above 7,000 feet in North America.
- Explore the Upper Geyser Basin which is home to more than half the world’s geysers, including what is the arguably the most famous one, Old Faithful.
- This is a walking trip; a good fitness level will help you enjoying all included walks and activities.
- This trip involves hiking from 5.5 to 7 miles (9 to 11 km) per day with a total trip distance of 30 miles (48 km). The maximum daily elevation gain/loss is 1400 feet (427 m). Please check the trip itinerary for more details.
- On this tour you will be required to carry a daypack weighing approximately 8-12 lb (3.5-5.5kg).
- Yellowstone boasts warm summers but be prepared for colder evenings and possibly rainy days. Good clothing and appropriate footwear are a must.
- On our final day there is no accommodation included so please plan your departure accordingly, or pre-book a post-tour night.

1. Please note this trip requires a minimum number of booked customers to guarantee the departure. Your Booking Agent will advise at time of booking if the departure has met minimum numbers. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be advised no later than 30 days out from departure. We recommend arranging flights and related travel services once your departure is guaranteed. In the event that your departure is cancelled due to minimum numbers not being met, a full refund will be provided of monies paid.
2. A completed registration form is required to join these trips. You will not be confirmed for the trip until your form has been received and reviewed. 6.This trip is operated and run by Wildland Trekking, an Intrepid company. You will be travelling with a mixture of both Wildland Trekking customers and Intrepid customers.
7. Please note, pre-trip orientation meeting will take place at 5:00 PM day before trip starts via conference call. Your guide will reach out approximately 10 days before your trip to coordinate this call. Early on the morning of day 1, you will be picked up from your hotel in Jackson. We can also coordinate pickup from Driggs or Victor, Idaho. This trip will conclude at approximately 7:00 PM on the last day in Jackson.
8. A single tent is provided to all solo travellers at no extra cost.
