In her pitch to take the reins as TV’s next travel icon – Travel Ann, a play on the popular UK show Travel Man – Ellie lays out exactly why it’s time for a new kind of host.
After all, we’re not the only ones bored of the same two old comedians on a road trip. Our research shows that 53% of Brits want to see more diversity in travel shows, and half say they'd be more likely to tune in if the format got a shake-up.
So, along with Ellie’s pitch, we’ve teamed up with Travel TV producer Nicola Hebden to build a proper plan. Together, we’ve mapped out what a series could look like if it explored themes and topics that women actually care about. Take a look at our proposed show.
