Europe tours in May 2025

Beat the heat with a European holiday in May

Before the intense sun and boatloads of tourists settle in for the summer season, find time in May to visit some of Europe's top destinations. Visit Spain to bask in balmy weather, experience the San Isidro Festival, or explore the Moorish architecture of its major cities. If you’re keen to get your steps in before the peak mid-year heat, hike up the ruins of the old coastal cities of Croatia or get lost in the fortresses, temples and stunning landscapes of the central Mediterranean wonder that is Malta.

This was my 2nd Intrepid trip; the first one was Iceland. This trip was outstanding because the kyaking thru the fjords; was the highlight of the trip by actually living though the fjords. Then, then the following day, we were on a boat through the fjords which we kyaked the day prior.

I would recommend this trip. It gives you a good insight into Croatia and Slovenia. Both beautiful and interesting destinations. Mirna our leader made it extra special with her calm organised approach and her great knowledge.

Croatia & Slovenia

Leisurely trip with lots of free time for those who like more independence for optional activities . A good mix of nature (Plitvice Lakes and Bled lake are stunning) and vibrant towns - Zagreb my favourite (make sure you stay an extra day before tour in Split and a day after tour in Ljubljana as the tour spends only a few hours in those towns). The exceptional guide Mirna made the tour unforgettable. Optional physical activities available in Zadar and Bled for those in need of exercise. Food at all prices everywhere. A good value for money holiday.
