Good things come in small packages and nowhere more so than El Salvador.
The volcanoes, cloud forests and quiet colonial towns will capture your imagination, while the surf coast will unleash your inner grommet.

Guatemala & Beyond

This Basix trip was challenging but rewarding. Our guide Aura was a highlight and helped us navigate the most complex border crossings I've experienced. I learned a lot about this part of the world, and felt safe throughout, which was a big surprise. Basix trips aren't for everyone, but if you're adventurous, give it a shot-you'll be happy.

The basic design of this trip truly allowed us to experience as much culture as possible in a short time, as well as interact with and learn from the locals at every turn. I cannot imagine a better intro to the beauty that is Central America.

Tour leader Aura was the best. You will see the reality of this region. Highly recommended. Do the excursions with the Daniels (Suchitoto and Cerro Negro).

This trip, although rapid, gives you an in-depth look at several Central American countries with a great range of optional activities.

So much packed into a short time to see 4 Central America countries! Really enjoyed my adventure. Aura Munguia was the best tour leader for this unique road trip.
Recommend arriving to Antigua/Guatemala earlier to do more exploring and stay another day in Granada. Arrived early to do Lake Atitlan day trip and sightseeing. Bring $1s and $5s and strong bug spray! Be ready for early morning starts and be prepared for long road trips with snacks, books and/or music/entertainment to pass the time.
