Europe sailing cruises
Take your next Euro trip offshore
Picture it: you’re sitting port side, gelato in hand, face in the breeze as your captain cruises away from the crowds to a hidden beach along one of Europe’s treasured coastlines. Maybe it's Italy’s Amalfi or Croatia’s Dalmatian. You could be colour swatching Turkey’s Turquoise Coast or, after you decide on Aegean or Ionian, harbour hopping across the Greek Isles. Skipper, hoist the sails and anchors aweigh, we’ve got seas to sail.

Europe sailing highlights
Capri in Italy
You can’t sail the Amalfi Coast without a stop in Capri. Famed for what’s hidden inside the island as much as what’s outside, Capri has been a favourite for shoppers, sailors, sunbathers and even the ancient Romans for centuries. Paddle into the Blue Grotto, hike the Phoenician Steps, visit the Villa San Michele or kick back on the sand – you can’t go wrong in Capri.
Bodrum bays in Turkey
Bodrum boasts not one but two Aegean bays. Add on a castle made of stones (previously used for the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), walkable laneways, local crafts and balmy beaches and you’ve the ideal place to drop anchor and head ashore – just remember to return to your boat after your day of exploration.
Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor
Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor is the kind of place where adjectives just don’t cut it – you’ve got to see it to believe it. Set your sails away from the Adriatic for a journey inland to the medieval village of Kotor. Dock beneath the cliffs for a day’s excursion in the Old Town, up to the Castle of San Giovanni or to the legendary site of the Lady of the Rocks.
The Greek island of Amorgos
Move over Santorini, Ios, Paros and Mykonos, there’s another Cycladic Island worth the fame. Introducing: Amorgos. Once the set of a major film, this island boasts ancient sites, like an old Venetian castle and an 11th-century monastery. Plus, it’s got all your usual Cycladic features – we’re talking windmills, a white hilltop Chora and of course, some classic white sand beaches.
Croatia’s green island of Mljet
Steeped in ancient legend, the island of Mljet is a worthy docking port along the Dalmatian Coast. Bright green, quiet and ideal for nature lovers, this island is the perfect place to stretch your sea legs and swap the fresh ocean air for the scent of pine trees. Hike or bike across the national park and discover why the legendary hero Odysseus stayed here for seven years.
