We’re pretty proud of our trips (you’d hope so after polishing them for over 25 years). These aren’t your typical group tours. You won’t find any 50-seater buses, guides barking history lessons or tennis balls on a stick here. Our focus is on showing you the real destination – the one only locals know. How do we do that? It’s pretty simple.
Itineraries with a difference
Sure, the highlights still take our breath away, but travel should be more than just finding boxes to tick. That’s why every single one of our trips deals in real life experiences, the little moments of magic you weren’t expecting. It could be sharing dinner with a family in Deli, finding a hole-in-the-wall cafe in Bologna or watching the sunset from a little Turkish amphitheater. When it comes to exploring, it pays to be curious.
Getting from Point A to Point B is usually a hassle, not a highlight. We want to change all that. Paddling a raft in Botswana, pedalling a bicycle through the rice paddies of Yogyakarta or flying through the sky on a Japanese bullet train – where we have to travel, we like to travel local. You could watch the world pass by from behind a tinted bus window, but trust us, the view from a grassroots level is way better.
Where you rest your head at the end of a big day can make or break a trip. It could be a unique stay at a gaucho estancia in Uruguay, a night at a remote Siberian village on the shores of Lake Baikal or a family run homestay in Marangu at the base of Kilimanjaro. We’ll take experience over expense any day.
