Take a stroll around Dove Lake
Hike the famous Dove Lake Circuit (6 km). Skirting the picture-perfect Dove Lake, you'll walk beneath impressive mountain spires, through the King Billy Pine Forest and past the Pencil Pine Falls. This low-intensity track is mostly boardwalk, so you’ll get great views of the beach, forests and mountains without a great hike.
Meet a Tassie Devil
The Tasmanian Devil, an animal as fearsome as a lion cub, is this wild island’s mascot. In Cradle Mountain, visit a wildlife conservation facility that cares for and protects these endangered critters. While here, learn about their diet and endangered status, catch a feeding and lucky visitors may even meet the young ones.
Check out the view from Marion's Lookout
Enjoy the well-earned views of Cradle Mountain National Park and beyond on a hike up to Marion’s Lookout. This iconic viewpoint is located high above the western side of Dove Lake and requires a bit of rock scrambling to get to, but the huffing and puffing is totally worth it when you reach the top.
