Set out on a six-day adventure from Tasmania’s trendy capital, capes and coastlines to its ancient interiors and oldest townships. Discover UNESCO national parks, from the coastal heath and sand dunes that meet the rainforest in Takayna/Tarkine to the glacier-sculpted terrain of Cradle Mountain. Stroll along Wineglass Bay in the shadow of Freycinet’s pink peaks and count the bright colours that make up the world-famous Bay of Fires. Go in search of the island’s unique endemic wildlife, from Tasmanian devils to fairy penguins and dine on the freshest homegrown grapes and flavours of Tassie.

Important notes

START & END TIMES
The trip starts in Hobart with a Welcome Meeting at 9:30 am on Day 1 at our joining point hotel and finishes back in Hobart on Day 6 at around 6 pm. Accommodation is not included on this day but can be booked on request. If you would like to properly explore Tasmania's capital city we recommend you allow some additional time before or after your trip.

LONG TRAVEL DAYS
Tasmania is bigger than it appears. To make the most of your time this trip involves some long travel days. Please see the daily itinerary for more information.

PHYSICAL RATING
This trip involves plenty of walking over varied terrain and is best suited to travellers with good fitness and mobility. This is the best way to experience Tasmania, so please make sure you bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothing.

CLIMATE
Temperatures can fluctuate in Tasmania, and can be quite cold at at night and at higher altitudes, with potential snowfall especially at the start or end of the season. It's important to prepare – please familiarise yourself with the climate to expect at the time of year you are planning to travel, and pack suitable clothing for hot, cold, dry and wet weather, just in case.
