Highlights of Borneo

Bako National Park
Head north-east from Kuching and you’ll hit Bako National Park, covering a peninsula jutting out into the South China Sea. It’s here you’ll find the rare proboscis monkey in all its big-nosed glory, along with white-sand beaches, thick jungle and a whole bunch of other fascinating friends including monitor lizards and long-tailed macaque monkeys.

Pulau Tiga National Park
Any ‘Survivor’ fans out there? The 2001 season of the famous reality show was filmed here, and trust us, there are worse places to be stuck. Explore the underwater world, kick back on the beach and imagine how you’d survive out here – it’s harder than it seems.

Bandar Seri Begawan
The capital of tiny Brunei is a fascinating city known for its palatial mosque, night markets and the Royal Regalia Museum. Get to know this rarely visited region on a city tour including a visit to Kampong Ayer, a centuries-old water village built over the Brunei River. Â
