Budapest Tours & Holidays

The Balkans and Eastern Europe experiences lie ahead with these tours from Budapest. The two sides of the capital of Hungary, split by the Danube, come together to form a beautiful city of lights, sights and spas. See the city skyline from up at Buda Castle, the ornamental buildings of the State Opera House and parliament, take a cruise along the river, and grab a drink in one of the cool backstreet ruin bars.

Cycle the Danube

Tim and Trish · Traveled June 2024
A good trip for people who enjoy cycling. Although there are other things to see and do, the focus is on the riding each day. The ride is often along the dykes, through countryside so there isn’t a lot of sightseeing on the trip itself. Adding days before in Vienna and afterwards in Budapest is a must. The cycling is fairly fast, and covers fairly long distances. If you can’t sustain 20 kph, an E-bike is a good idea.

Berlin to Budapest

Hayden · Traveled June 2024
Saša singlehandedly made the trip a delight, reassuring in his experience and local knowledge plus language, which made everything a breeze and easy to adapt on the go. He went out of his way to ensure we were having a good way and could make the most of our time, in a friendly and engaging manner.

Highlights of Central Europe

Harry · Traveled May 2024
An incredible way to experience the sights, beauty and unique cultures of Central Europe when you don’t have a lot of time. Intrepid took away all the hard work and with great orientation in the different locations , you could safely explore independently or with your fellow travelers .

Cycle the Danube

Karen · Traveled May 2024
The best way to really see and get to know a city is by bike. Doing a cycle trip from Vienna to Budapest with a group of other fun-loving, adventure seeking Intrepid tourists was simply amazing.

Cycle the Danube

Ricard · Traveled May 2024
Really enjoyed this trip, many thanks to Igor and Andro for looking after us. The cycling is relatively easy with a decent level of fitness. Most of the routes are off the main roads on cycle paths which certainly makes for stress free cycling. The accommodation was very good as were the breakfasts which are included. Ideally I would have liked a rest day in Bratislava to see more of the city.
