Why you'll love this trip
  • Take in the sights of Phnom Penh on a fun cyclo tour, visiting some of the city's most historic buildings.
  • Share a meal with a local family in Battambang before keeping up with the kids on a cycling adventure through the scenic, rural countryside.
  • Get a taste for Cambodian cuisine in a fun hands-on cooking class in Siem Reap, where you’ll get to choose fresh, local ingredients at the market then learn some tips and tricks from a local chef.
  • Explore the ancient temples of the Angkor complex – a UNESCO World Heritage-listed archaeological complex and the world's largest religious site.
  • Enjoy some family fun and incredible acrobatics at Phare the Cambodian Circus – where those from disadvantaged homes have learned some incredible skills to shock, wow and delight!

Is this trip right for you?
  • You will visit several temples on this trip, and this requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover the arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
  • In 2025, Khmer New Year (Songkran Festival) will be on the 13th to 15th April. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however, you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many Cambodians are travelling around the country. Please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period.

This experience exceeded all our expectations. Our tour leader, Mr. Bon Sakmony, connected a group of strangers to share a memorable week of laughing, crying, and being equally amazed by Cambodia and its culture. It was a genuinely special experience for the parents and children that our family will cherish forever.

My whole life I’ve had the privilege to travel, not ever have been so immersed in learning and experiencing the culture and traditions of a country than I was with Intrepid. I highly recommend this form of travel to anyone who wants to experience, an engaging, social, and memorable way of travelling the world. Thankyou to our guide (Sakmony) and Thankyou Intrepid.

This was my 1st Intrepid tour and I have the utmost respect for the business model and can see with absolute clarity that my money is going directly to the individuals and communities that we visited along the tour. Our Tour guide was 1st class and made our trip immensely memorable and enjoyable. I recommend Intrepid to all travellers.
