Why you'll love this trip
  • If you love to cycle, to feel the wind in your (helmet-covered) hair and a tropical breeze on your face then this speedy but comprehensive adventure is for you!
  • A bike lets you see Vietnam like never before – you’ll go from road to beaten track to something way beyond.
  • Think of the calories you’ll burn and the appetite you’ll work up cycling around Vietnam’s incredible landscape.
  • This two-wheeled adventure will show you all the different sides of this country – wildlife-filled natural landscapes, small villages, ancient ruins and the region’s liveliest cities.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, World Bicycle Relief. Donations provide school kids, health workers, and farmers in far-out areas with bicycles that provide access to education, healthcare, and income.

Is this trip right for you?
  • To complete this trip it is important that you are both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
  • This trip covers quite some distance – you’ll be cycling for up to 70 kilometres a day on varied terrain, so this trip is for the reasonably fit.

I have just completed the Intrepid cycle Vietnam trip with 15 other new friends and a great tour leader. It was one of the best things I have ever done. I am older and found some of the riding tough. Next time I will do more training. Highly recommended

Just finished our tour and can not believe how amazing the experience was. If you’re thinking about doing it - just do it! I was the least skilled and had a great time - although it was challenging at times it wasn’t beyond anything I could handle. Our guide Lihn was incredible and we learned more about the culture and life in Vietnam than we thought was possible - his knowledge was mind blowing and could literally answer every question we asked. From the riding through the small villages to the fun breaks with lime juice and local snacks to shared camaraderie with the other participants this was an incredible adventure and I was sad to see it end.

I have always wanted to go to Vietnam 🇻🇳 but not a fan of groups or sitting around a pool, and shopping 🛍️ I wanted a conscious trip that did as little hard to the environment as possible . But I needed daily activities as I have a lot of energy. Also travelling as a single female I needed a safe and single friendly space. All of this was accommodated

An ‘off the beaten track’ itinerary that was so varied. With enthusiastic professional staff we experienced so much more than we expected.

We are a retired couple (71, 69) who were fortunate to do the ‘Cycle Vietnam’ trip in Oct/Nov 2023. This trip and the country of Vietnam exceeded our expectations, largely because our guide Linh was so knowledgeable. His story telling was wonderful. Some days cycling long distances in the heat was hard work but the crew watered and fed us and encouraged us at every step. The speed of the peloton really surprised me - maybe we had a fast group but I was extremely grateful that I had chosen the E-bike option. The peloton often well exceeded 25 kph and the E-bike was limited but at least having power you could always catch up on the hills. I had trained every two to three days on an ordinary bike doing (40-50km) distances. I was grateful of the training. Overall this trip totally exceeded our expectations - we can highly recommend it!
