Financial

We strive to balance purpose and profit.  We recognise that it is only when our business is financially strong that we can achieve positive outcomes for all our stakeholders, including the communities that we operate in.

  • Achieved $873m (+26% YoY) in bookings and $809 in revenue (+29%) laying the foundations for our future purpose-led growth plans 
  • Expanded our employee shareholding program and paid a dividend to eligible shareholders for the third consecutive year
  • Acquired leading Dutch tour operator Sawadee Reizen – our first significant expansion into a non-English speaking market

Environment

Travel connects people, but it also carries a complex environmental footprint. With most emissions sitting in our wider supply chain, we aim to lead with responsibility supporting decarbonisation, empowering suppliers and reducing the full lifecycle impact of the journeys we create.

  • Launched a new $2m annual Carbon Impact Fund under our new climate action plan
  • Increased the number of country offices using EV airport transfers from 39% to 74%
  • Launched 28 nature-based trips with US Co-Op REI, with 1% of booking costs funding REI's conservation efforts

Social and relationships

Delivering community benefit remains central to our purpose. From non-profits to community tourism operators and industry collaborations, we engage to make positive change through the joy of travel.

  • $6 million contribution and disbursements to communities and charities (up 28% YoY)
  • 50 new community-led experiences built into our trips
  • Partnered with the UN Global Compact, becoming a sponsor of the Coalition for Sustainable Procurement

Intrepid is above all, a people-led business. Our 3574 team members globally are the foundation of our business – and central to our success.

  • 1073 Intrepid team members came together to contribute 8847 volunteer hours, supporting 250 organisations globally
  • 561 team members took  their free-of-charge  trip benefit (up 36% YoY)
  • Delivered our largest Global Summit yet in Colombo, with 494 team members from 35 countries and an event NPS of 93

Our ambition is to build one of the world’s most trusted and purpose driven travel brands, growing awareness and deepening engagement through storytelling, social connection and meaningful brand experiences.

  • Achieved 33% brand aided awareness (up from 28%)
  • Our first TV commercial delivered the largest single asset reach in our history with more than 4.3m impressions
  • 108m users across our social media community (up 20% YoY)

Customer

Our core has always been delivering exceptional experiences through the joy of travel. As our global community of conscious and connected travellers grows, we remain focused on continually strengthening the customer experience at every stage of the journey.

  • Achieved an 83 NPS score, our highest customer engagement result to date, alongside record traveller numbers of 317,880
  • Delivered a record global leader average score of 4.85
  • Introduced 100 new trips, 50 new experiences and 29 new destinations

The Intrepid Foundation

For over 20 years, our not-for-profit, The Intrepid Foundation, has been giving Intrepid travellers a chance to make a bigger impact in the places they visit. Together we've raised more than $20 million and supported over 160 communities around the world.

  • Disbursed $3.4 million across 45 countries to 58 partners
  • Attracted 16,293 donorsacross the world
  • Awarded more than $650,000 worth of impact grants to 15 NGO partners
