Famous for its fairytale-like surrounds – including an emerald-green lake with a church in its middle and medieval castle – Bled is a joy to explore. It also produces a delicious local cake (Bled cream cake – make sure to try it).
Ride a raft over the rugged rapids, gates and pools of the Sava Dolinka River, taking in stunning Alpine scenery as you go.
This is an active trip packed with activities such as cycling, whitewater rafting and trekking. To fully enjoy it, you'll need to be in a good state of health and fitness. To participate in the rafting experience, you'll also need to be a confident swimmer.
The trip involves some early starts and long days, because the itinerary is packed with lots of exciting activities.
Bohinj, the base for this trip, is located approximately 25 kilometres west of Bled. Frequent public buses travel between the 2 towns, so a visit to Bled is an easy undertaking. A departure transfer from Bohinj back to Ljubljana Airport can be booked at an extra cost.
