Zanzibar Tours & Holidays

With endless golden beaches, crystalline blue waters and tantalising spice plantations – Zanzibar is a feast for the senses.

The island of Zanzibar may be small, but there are many ways to get lost here: amongst the ancient, cobble-stoned streets of Stone Town; in the colourful history of the people that call this paradise home; or amid the coral reefs that rival the best snorkelling destinations in the world. Take your pick, but after a day in this hidden paradise, we can promise you won’t want to be found!

Road to Zanzibar

Gill · Traveled January 2024
This was a very enjoyable trip with a very eclectic mix of nationalities and ages. Age range 25 to 85. Our guide Labo was fantastic, as was our chef Dawid and driver Sam and Trainee Ray. They were all very helpful with putting up and taking down the tents, quite often in the dark. The journeys were long and the mornings early but obviously necessary. We saw the big 5 and so much more. The rest came at the end in Zanzibar which was wonderful. We loved it so much, staying an extra 4 days.

Road to Zanzibar

Karl · Traveled January 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed this Road to Zanzibar trip. The experiences we had in the Serengeti, Usambara Mountains and Zanzibar beaches were outstanding. The Intrepid team took excellent care of us, making sure we were safe and extremely well fed. We highly recommend the accommodation upgrades where they are possible.

Vic Falls to Zanzibar

Darcey · Traveled December 2023
I booked vic falls to Gorillas as a trip, and this Vic falls to Zanzibar section was a small part of it. I wouldn’t book this section of trip by itself, as it includes lots of long drive days and a small number of activities, however if you have come from the Cape Town to vic falls leg, or are continuing on from Zanzibar as I am, it is is a great trip to see lots of Zimbabwe. Zambia and Malawi you otherwise would miss. Be prepared for the longndrive days but be expected for the beach days in Malawi and Zanzibar. My chef Simon was an absolute god in the kitchen, I hope he quits soon to open his own restaurant because I got fed sooo well on this trip. All staff are wonderful and overall a great relaxing Leg!
