Enjoy the freedom and flexibility to explore the Outback in a small group
All new and exclusive to Intrepid Travel, this 5-day small group tour is your chance to meet the outback on your own terms. No set itinerary, no rushing around to pre-established timeframes – just you, your small group, and a well-versed local leader exploring the Red Centre at your own pace. Get to all the big name attractions – Uluru/Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Palm Valley, the Western MacDonnell Ranges – and perhaps visit lesser-known sites like Rainbow Valley, Owen Springs, Ruby Gap and the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges.
Meet the curious inhabitants of the Outback Camel Farm
Marvel at the outback sky above during our 1000 Star Dinner at Uluru
Admire the breathtaking formations of Kata Tjuta
Enjoy a morning walk around Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Discover ancient rock art and cave systems
Camp in the depth of Watarrka National Park
Be dwarfed by the towering Kings Canyon
All four nights are camping, and one may be bush camping depending on what the group feels like and how we are tracking
The Red Centre can be very hot during the summer time and in the winter, below freezing at night. Ensure you have prepared for the weather
The idea of this 5 day itinerary is to be flexible whilst still seeing the major highlights of the Red Centre

Our 5 Day Outback Camping Adventure ex Yulara trips score an average of 4 out of 5 based on 1 review in the last year.
I do have a complaint that we had to do double travel when we connected to the last 2 days of our tour. Because we had 3 day tour people we had to return to Alice springs instead of going on to Western Macdonnell Ranges. Once in Alice we had then to return towards the Ranges approximately 7 hours of travel!
