Why you'll love this trip
  • Discover the diverse landscapes of the Blue Mountains on foot, walking past iconic sights like the Three Sisters, Wentworth Falls, Jamison Valley, Echo Point and Katoomba Falls.
  • Learn about the history of this land and its traditional owners during a morning walk with a First Nations guide and hear stories of one of the world’s oldest living cultures.
  • Embark on a spectacular Night-lit Walk through Katoomba Falls Reserve and experience the beauty of the falls lit up at night.
  • Visit Everglades House and Gardens and wander through the European-inspired 1930’s homestead that has gained the attention of garden-lovers world-wide.

Is this trip right for you?
  • This trip involves varied walks, with the majority including very steep descents and ascents and extensive stairs. You will need to have excellent mobility and no history of knee injuries to enjoy these walks. Good footwear and clothing for all types of weather are essential. Some travellers find walking poles difficult to use in this area due to the many steps.
  • As this is a walking trip that is dependent on weather and track conditions and therefore it is very hard to set an exact itinerary that will stay the same throughout the year. Due to weather, recent landslides and ongoing capital works, the tracks that are open and closed can change frequently and without warning. This means that the best laid plans may need to change, and leaders will be flexible and plan alternative walks.

Important notes

START & END TIME
Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 8.30am on Day 1 in Sydney, and you are expected to arrive back into Sydney around 6.30pm on the last day. Please note that there is no accommodation included on the last day in Sydney.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT
A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.

TEMPORARY TRACK CLOSURES
Please note that ongoing track closures following sustained wet weather and subsequent geological instability as well as improvement works planned within the Park may put us in a position where we will be forced to change some of the walks with short notice. Blue Mountains National Park covers a huge area with many options for great walks to choose, therefore we are confident any last-minute changes, should they occur, will provide equally fantastic hiking experiences.

Great trip, great company. As an elderly male, Guide Will made certain I was well cared for if some of the walks were too strenuous.

The Blue Mountain, another of Australia's hidden gems. Not only were the hikes fantastic but the views were incredible. No matter what your ability is in hiking, you can be accommodated on these hikes, especially with a guide like Gareth. Blue Mountains is great for photographers. The hotel was very warm, well equipped including electric blankets and this is a must for hiking in the cold days in winter. Hotel, located on the main street, was 2 steps away from the town of Katoomba with a Coles and Aldi across the street. This 4 day trip just touched the tip of the iceberg for me and I could spend weeks there in these beautiful mountains. I highly recommend booking this trip with Intrepid.
