Winter (December to February) in LA is the rainiest season, but February (the wettest month) still averages only 5 days of rain. While temperatures in winter can drop to 39°F, it rarely goes below that due to the Santa Ana winds.
Even on cooler days, there's still plenty of sunshine to enjoy beach walks along Santa Monica or strolls along the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
If you travel to Los Angeles in winter, jeans/long pants and a sweater should suffice. You may also want to pack an umbrella in case it rains.
