Embrace your inner hippy in Kathmandu, watch the sunset over the Himalayas in Pokhara, search for the one-horned rhino in Chitwan, check out Buddha’s hometown of Lumbini, sail along the sacred Ganges in Varanasi, be mesmerised by the Taj Mahal, hang out in a palace at Tordi Garh, go bazaar mad in Jaipur and finish up in big and busy Delhi. The road from Kathmandu to Delhi is long and winding, but oh so worth it.

Why you'll love this trip
  • Get your Himalayan fill in super-zen Pokhara, where you can paddle around Phewa Lake surrounded by views of gargantuan mountains.
  • Fall asleep to the calls of the jungle in Chitwan National Park, then embark on a jeep safari in search of rhino, deer, monkeys and the elusive Bengal Tiger.
  • Ditch your alarm, there’s only one way to wake up in this world and that’s with a sunrise sail along the Ganges.
  • The Taj Mahal may be one of the most recognisable buildings in the world, but do you know its poetic history? A local expert will fill you in.
  • Finish the trip in the chaos of Delhi. It's all kinds of crazy as well as all kinds of delhi-ciousness. Don't leave without your leader showing you where to get the best street food.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, Positive Change for Marine Life. Donations help them to nurture ocean health with community-led conservation initiatives that inspire coastal restoration, sustainable fishing practices and waste-managemen

Is this trip right for you?
  • You MUST have an Indian visa in your passport prior to starting this trip. E-visas are not valid for entering the country at land borders and visas are not available on arrival. This trip crosses the Nepali-Indian border on Day 5.

An excellent itinerary that not only takes you through historical landmarks, but also spiritual sites that are great to explore. One of my highlights was Chitwan National Park in Nepal, which was so much fun to see the wildlife. Another was the birthplace of Buddha, which was surreal. Our excellent tour guide Harshvardhan, made the trip even more special.

Saw a lot in such a small amount of time - good for people with not a lot of time and who want to see A LOT. The tour guides very knowledgeable and help avoid any chances of illness/danger that could occur. Harsh our tour guide made sure we were always informed of potinational risks but still making it a hoot ! Overnight train was the highlight - true india style.

I loved the combined Nepal and India with a start in Nepal. I invite you to take 3 days to visit Kathmandu and the surrounding area like Patan. New Delhi no point in staying longer The stay was complete and very rich in discovery with our Jaipur guide! I recommend this circuit - only downsides ask in advance for the prices of the activities to avoid having surprises ... then the partners - no way! Then please note that guides in India are a bit macho... The world is different for women.
