Why you'll love this trip
  • What better way to see the historic towns, protected forests and stunning islands of Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast than aboard a private yacht? All aboard for a week in paradise.
  • Set sail out of beautiful Dubrovnik. The World Heritage-listed walled city plays host to film crews every year.
  • Wander the length of car-free Lopud in the idyllic Elafiti Islands.
  • Discover the lush forests of Mljet, which are yet to be spoilt by mainstream tourism.
  • Visit Odysseus Cave where, according to legend, the king of Ithaca once found refuge after surviving a shipwreck.
  • Cross the water from the island of Vis to Cave Bisevo’s blue grotto in a rowing boat.

Is this trip right for you?
  • A zodiac is used to transport passengers from the boat to the mainland, with landings taking place at piers (dry landings) and on beaches (wet landings). Zodiacs can sometimes be awkward to climb in and out of, but a sense of humour and a can-do attitude is all you need.
  • This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be relatively compact, but you will spend most of your time above board in the open air.
  • Please note that smooth sailing depends on the weather, so itinerary changes may occur at the last minute if the weather becomes unfavourable. You can trust your knowledgeable skipper to choose an alternative route or activity if any changes are made.

Important notes

This trip is onboard a mono hull sailing yacht. We use 2 types of sailing yachts for these departures, an Omega Kiss and an Aqua Kiss. Both yachts are of a similar standard

TART TIME:
This trip starts on Day 1 in Dubrovnik at 3 pm.

ACCOMMODATION ONBOARD THIS SAILING YACHT
This trip is accommodated entirely on board a yacht of between 48ft to 52ft. A typical yacht for 8 travellers is equipped with 4 double share cabins, 2/3 shared bathrooms and 2 showers. Our boats are real yachts and this is a real sailing trip. Yachts are designed to keep sleeping areas to the absolute minimum of space, while maximising common areas as much as possible.

Rooms are allocated on arrival by our skipper according to group composition, which means it is not possible to reserve or guarantee any specific berth or cabin. Single passengers will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender, this will mean sharing a double cabin with a double mattress. Everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms on board.

While not everyone may feel entirely comfortable living in such close quarters, those who are looking to revel in the adventure and exhilaration of an authentic sailing trip usually find any discomfort from cramped living conditions is more than made up for by the whole experience.

ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION:
Please note that the majority of our sailing trips start and/or finish at a marina or port. If you have pre-booked any additional accommodation through us, you will need to make your own way to the joining point on Day 1 and from the finish point on the final day. We do not provide transfers between hotels and the port/marina. Please check the 'Joining point instructions' and 'Finishing point' sections of the Essential Trip Information for details.

HOT WEATHER:
Summer temperatures can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius, which can be uncomfortable for those not used to the heat. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.

MINIMUM AGE:
The minimum age on this trip is 15. Please note that triple cabins are not available. If travelling with a child, the child will need to share with one of the adults, and the other adult will share with another adult passenger or purchase a single supplement.

PASSPORT DETAILS:
Please provide full passport details at time of booking including exact name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, issue and expiry dates as these are essential for booking services on this trip.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:
Dietary requirements are required at the time of booking so that any included meals can be properly catered for.

Overall unimpressed with Intrepid on this one. Essential info and itinerary inaccurate in terms of what to expect. Does not include anything. Luckily it’s such an interesting and beautiful place.

Excellent trip, very hot in July though, make sure you are OK sleeping outside because the boat can get toasty.

I would highly recommend this sailing trip in the Croatian islands, it was a fantastic experience with a phenomenal skipper (Ante) who looked after us perfectly throughout with brilliant locations to visit, great knowledge of sailing shared and brilliant advice on restaurants.

Sailing from Dubrovnik to Split was a once in a lifetime experience. Not only did we get to experience beautiful landscapes and scenery, but we were welcomed by the amazing hospitality of the Croatian people. I can’t wait for my next visit!
