HI G,
Intrepid Short Breaks don’t have an Intrepid group leader with them, but you will be looked after by experienced and responsible local guides who are employed by our local partner companies.
Great to hear that you might be joining us in South Africa, and please don’t hesitate to email info@intrepidtravel.com if you have any other queries.
Best wishes,
Sue, Intrepid Express editor.

G’day,
I’m keen on the 4 day kruger lodge experience but the trip notes under the “Group Leader” heading say: “Intrepid Short Break Adventures are not accompanied by an Intrepid Group Leader. Local guides may be used on some itineraries.”
Can you clarify what type of guide/leader will be running this 4 day Kruger Lodge Experience and are they experienced etc?
Cheers
G

Certainly looking forward to visit Africa, especially Kruger National Park.

Hi CMT,
We have great short safari trips like any of the Kruger ones mentioned here, or you might like Chobe & Vic Falls Lodge Safari (trip code UAE) which is 4 days.
‘Gorillas, Chimps and Game Parks’ (YOG) is 16 days, and that’s the shortest in this region that includes the great apes.
More info on all our trips can be found on our website and please don’t hesitate to email info@intrepidtavel.com if you have any queries.
thanks

Interested in short safari (lions, cheetah,..) and short gorilla safari.
What do you suggest or have in the works?

Can you arrange a discounted airfare from the US?
Thanks.

Hi Susan

I have just returned from Tanzania/Kenya/Rwanda and Uganda and i would wait until you got there to buy all visas. Very easy to do and works out cheaper because of the USD rate.
Enjoy and remember. TIA (This is Africa) and your stress levels will melt and you’ll enjoy it more.

Hi Susan,
I have passed your query on to our reservations team at ozhelp@intrepidtravel.com – but for visa queries it’s best to double-check with the consulate to ensure you get the latest advice.
Best wishes,

How about if I want to plan a trip for African safari and suncity? Can you suggest me anything?

Does anyone know if there’s a direct flight Cape Town to Victoria Falls? Any recommendations on the best rates? Airlines? Thanks for the tips.

I am planning to participate in a “study abroad” trip to Denmark and Germany in May 2010. This is through the HTE program at Metro State College in Denver. As a non-traditional student (48 yrs. old) I am looking forward to this journey. Intrepid Travel (Darrell & Geoff) has been such an inspiration since introduced to us in our classroom and I cannot wait to get my degree in Tourism and begin my “better late than never” life. Look forward to seeing all of you, Julie Hamilton

Hi Eileen,
Thanks for your comment and how exciting that you are planning an Africa trip. All our trips costs are available in Euro and Pound Sterling on our website, so you can view the current prices in both these currencies at http://www.intrepidtravel.com.
We shall soon be setting our prices for next year, taking into account exchange rates and other operating expenses, and are looking forward to releasing our full range of 2010 trips in coming months.
It will be wonderful to have you travelling with us again!
Best wishes,
Sue, Intrepid Express Editor.

A/noon all.
We have a wonderful time on intrepid trips, you have spoiled us for any other company.
We intend going to Africa next year, and I received your brochures recently. I was wondering abour your exchange rates, i.e. Sterling/Euro.
The Euro is doing quite well against Stg., and I wondered what rate Intrepid was giving.
Thank you.

Hi Alison,
Thanks for your comment and it’s so exciting to hear you will be travelling with us again! We have made some necessary changes to our Gorilla trips in 2009, but we are also just finalising our 2010 itineraries as we speak. Our Intrepid Auckland team will contact you very soon to give you some more information about the options.
Thanks and best wishes,
Sue, Intrepid Express editor.

Hi there,
We are seriously looking at travelling with you yet again – trips 10 & 11 next year, but are interested in Cape town to Vic Falls, & also to see the Gorillas. Do you not offer Gorilla Encounter any more? Just Gorillas, chimps & game parks? it sounds OK, but would prefer the former if possible.
Thanks Alison
