Important notes

1. Full passport details are required at the time of booking to purchase Inca Trail permits, entrance fees and transport tickets. Delays to provide this information may result in booking fees or changes to your itinerary. Details provided must be accurate as per your passport bio page. Any discrepancies may result in denied entry to the Inca Trail.
2. This trip starts in Lima at 2pm on Day 1. This allows time after the welcome meeting to explore Lima. We recommend booking flights out of Cusco no earlier than midday on Day 8 to allow for possible delays on the final section of the Inca Trail or if you are required to take a Covid test. Intrepid staff will be able to assist in booking any required tests in Cusco.
3. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
4. Parts of your trip go above 2800 m/9200 ft where it is common to experience some adverse health effects due to the altitude, regardless of age, gender or fitness. Please consult your doctor for professional advice about travelling at high altitude if you have a health condition.
5. This trip includes domestic flights. The luggage allowance is 23kg for check in luggage and 7kg for carry on.
6. Mask wearing is currently mandatory in Peru. You will be required to wear a mask whenever you are unable to maintain the required physical distance between yourself, fellow group members and local people. This may be while hiking or in public spaces.
7. Currently, travellers aged 40 and above will be required to show evidence of a booster shot in order to access domestic flights and trains, and to enter enclosed public spaces (eg restaurants, museums, shops). We recommend all travellers receive their booster shot prior to travel.
8. As you can choose different ways of reaching Machu Picchu (Inca Trail, Quarry Trail or Train), there is a small chance you may be the only traveller on your selected option.

I was nervous being that I was out of shape due to a health situation and the only traveler signed up. The guides and porters not only supported me through this trip, but turned it into an easy experience, allowing me to rediscover my own strength and abilities. There are no words to adequately do justice to my gratitude. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. If you think you can't, you can. Life is short. Try anyway. Just go and do. You wont regret it.
