Days 1-2 Cairo

Get up close to Cairo's spectacular Pyramids with a local guide and ponder the enigmatic Great Sphinx.

Day 3 Luxor

Relax in a horse-drawn carriage and explore the Karnak temple complex.

Days 4-5 Nile Cruise

Visit the Valley of the Kings and see the two 17-metre high statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III guarding Thebes. Then set sail along the Nile to Edfu.

Days 6-7 Aswan

Hit up the bazaars and explore the temple of Isis and the Nubia Museum to better understand this region's history.

Day 8 Cairo

Arrive back in Egypt's energetic capital. Spend some time exploring the labyrinthine alleys of Khan al-Khalili Bazaar.

Day 10 Cairo - Amman

Today you will be transferred to the airport and take a short flight to Amman.

Day 11 Nuweiba

Explore the revered St Catherine's Monastery before driving to Nuweiba and crossing the Gulf of Aqaba to Jordan.

Day 12 Wadi Rum

Drive into spellbinding Wadi Rum, a land of sandstone mountains and ochre desert floors. Saddle up on a camel ride to a traditional Bedouin camp site and enjoy a night beneath the desert sky.

Days 13-14 Petra

Tour the architectural marvels of the 'Rose City'. Climb to the Monastery and discover the secrets of this incredible fortress.

Days 15-16 Amman

Visit Shobak Castle before viewing the ancient mosaic map in St George's Church. Head to Amman's Archaeological Museum to see some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, then travel to the Dead Sea the next day.

Days 17-19 Jerusalem

Travel to Jerusalem via Masada, Qumran and Jericho. Visit the Mount of Olives, Temple Mount, the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. The next day we explore the holy city of Bethlehem.

Day 20 Tiberias

Marvel at the basilica of the Annunciation, pass through Tiberias and sail across the Sea of Galilee.

Days 21-22 Tel Aviv

Head to the spectacular Baha'i Gardens before continuing on to lively Tel Aviv.
