take me with you

philippinesMegan Hinge recommends a book that challenges us to look inwards, at the same time as considering the lives of those around us…

Take Me With You: A Round-the-World Journey to Invite a Stranger Home, by Brad Newsham. This was a book I could not put down. As well as being an amazing true story, the book is also packed full with inspiring travel quotes to ponder.

What if you decided to travel the world, and invite one of the people you met to come and live with you in your home country for one month? Well, that is exactly what Brad Newsham does. This book is an excellent example of how one person can make a difference – a big difference!

Often I wonder if the little things I do to try and make the world a better place are working. Am I adding value to the lives of the people I meet? Am I making a positive difference? This book helps you to realise, that it is the little things that really have the biggest impact.”

If a book has inspired you to travel or simply makes for great reading while on the road, please email intrepidexpress@intrepidtravel.com – let us know a little of what it’s about plus an indication of the size, as we would love to hear your recommendation for a great backpack book!
