resolve to have fun

yogaSomeone wisely said that “A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year, and out the other.” Definitely true when you consider the many failed attempts to cut back on chocolate, cut out cigarettes, or visit the gym more often and the coffee shop less. So this year let’s consider some fun lifestyle choices that can still put a smile on your dial…

1. Make more time for new experiences:
It feels like our days are getting busier by the minute, so why not to shake up your day-to-day life this year? Make some time in your schedule to do something new and find ways to feel like your on holidays when you’re at home. Intrepid’s new Urban Adventures can set you on that path, with fantastic two-hour to one-day trips that explore back streets, hidden gems and fascinating sights of some of the best cities in the world.

2. Tread lightly this year:
Be determined to sort your plastic from your paper and become a green crusader this year. There are so many simple and money-saving things we can do that will benefit our environment. Intrepid Travel is leading the way, with all trips in our 2010 brochures being carbon offset, so you can enjoy a small group adventure that is kind to the planet.

3. Live life in 4th gear:
If you have made a pledge to get fit this year, then don’t panic, going on holidays doesn’t mean that your exercise routine has to come to a grinding halt. Intrepid has some great active trips, including the brand new Active Wild West in the US, that will keep your heart rate up.

4. Become a citizen of the world:
Increase your understanding of the world we live in. Get Twitter following or find new Facebook friends – you’ll end 2010 worldly wise and popular!

5. Have fun:
2009 was a year of economic doom and gloom. With the world’s economies on the mend, throw off the shackles of the global downturn and resolve to turn-up the fun factor in 2010!

6. Get in touch with your passions:
Learn to cook, tango or speak Thai in 2010 and do it all whilst enjoying some well-earned R&R. Intrepid’s trips are jam-packed with experiences that will ignite or flame your passions.
