In 2012 we’re giving away a total of AU$427,333 with thanks to Intrepid travellers and matching donations from Intrepid Travel. Following on from last week’s Asia announcements, here are details of more beneficiary organisations, their fabulous projects and the amounts they will be receiving…

Egypt
- Animal Care in Egypt (ACE) – improving the lives of the working animals of Egypt. AU$7,691

Morocco
- Handicapped Project Horizon – supporting the rehabilitation, health and social and economic empowerment of persons with disabilities. AU$8,482

Tanzania
- Amani Children’s Home – providing a loving home, education and medical care for street children and orphans. AU$27,996
- Village Education Project – improving primary and vocational education. AU$6,030

Kenya
- New Hope Children’s Home – providing a home, care and education for disadvantaged children in the Limuru region. AU$7,596
- Saidia Children’s Home – providing a safe place for disadvantaged children and helping them break the cycle of poverty. AU$2,796

South Africa
- Thusanani Children’s Foundation – helping prevent and treat developmental delay in orphaned and vulnerable children in children’s homes. AU$9,014

Peru
- Living Heart – health and nutritional support for disadvantaged communities in the Sacred Valley area. AU$10,180
- Escuela Winaypaq – providing free primary bilingual education and nutritional support to needy children from villages around the Taray District of the Sacred Valley. AU$6,232

Ecuador
- Charles Darwin Foundation – supporting the restoration of the habitat of Floreana Island and the Floreana mockingbird project in the Galapagos Islands. AU$2,766

Russia
- Nochlezhka – working with homeless on the streets of St Petersburg and supporting their Night Bus project. AU$2,210

Czech Republic
- The Fund for Children in Need (Fond ohrožených dětí) – helping children in need with temporary shelters, foster homes, holiday camps and guidance. AU$2,691
