act now to protect the kimberley

act now to protect the kimberleyAt Intrepid, we love taking you off the beaten path in countries all over the world, but in our very own backyard is one of the world’s last remaining pristine environments and it’s under threat!

Australia’s magnificent Kimberley region offers a glimpse into another world – an ancient world of indigenous culture and rock art tens of thousands of years old, unique species of plants and animals, and spectacular landscapes virtually unchanged since prehistoric times. Yet this incredible region is now at risk of industrial development – and is currently unprotected.

In the next few weeks we have an opportunity to change that and protect the Kimberley forever. For this reason, Intrepid has teamed up with our friends at the Australian Conservation Foundation to help secure National Heritage listing for our beautiful Kimberley. Let’s show our support and build numbers by ‘Liking’ them on Facebook. ‘Like’ them today and you’ll be helping protect this very special part of Australia!

I have never been to Kimberley. When I retire, Kimberly will be my first destination. I just hope its nature beauty will remain unscarred when I can get there. I wish we can stop those greedy people and greedy politicians from digging it up and selling it to whoever comes up with the money.
