Your accommodation for the next two nights is the Quality Inn Seattle Center.
There are no meals included on this day.
Exploring the city of Seattle with visits to the city's most famous landmark the Space Needle and a tour of Boeing facilities for a look at the future of aviation. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city, perhaps wander along the seafront or visit the famous Pike Place market.
Today we head to be beautiful Mount Rainier area for some light hiking amongst picturesque meadows and lakes.
Your accommodation for the night is the Seasons Motel.
En route to Portland our eclipse viewing spot, we’ll stop at Mount St Helen’s National Volcanic Monument and explore the volcano that erupted 1980. Enjoy guided short walks to learn about the catastrophic events, examine the effects of this eruption and consider the volcano's current status.
Your accommodation for the next two nights is the Jupiter Hotel.
The day is yours to explore Portland at your leisure. An eclectic mix of outstanding foods, cobbled streets and fascinating art galleries, explore the city’s vibrant waterfront, large green parks and take a trip to the world’s largest independent bookstore.
After an early breakfast we’ll depart by coach to our chosen site to view the eclipse. The precise location will be selected following an assessment of the prevailing weather conditions. Please note that this itinerary will not be accompanied by an astronomer however the local guide will be well informed about eclipse.
Your hotel tonight is the Phoenix Inn, Eugene.
This morning we’ll make tracks to Oregon's rugged, impressive coastline. Spend the afternoon exploring the many beaches and dunes that make up the coastal eco-system and a tour of Hectea Head Lighthouse is not to be missed.
Your accommodation for the night is the Driftwood Shores Resort.
Today we’ll drive along Oregon’s scenic coast to the western historic settlement of Astoria, an important fishing village. Spend the afternoon exploring Astoria’s maritime history, evident throughout the town, and soak up stunning scenery from quaint cafes.
Your accommodation for the night is the Comfort Inn Colombia River Astoria.
We return to Seattle in the afternoon where the tour comes to an end.
The group flights are scheduled to leave Seattle at 19:15.
