As the sun starts to fade and the days get shorter, what better way to extend your family’s summer than with a hot October half term break? If it’s a quick flight you’re after, both Jordan or Egypt are still warm this time of year and the major tourist crowds have now dissipated. If you’re happy to travel a little further afield, Asia in autumn could be the perfect destination. October kicks off the dry season in India and Nepal, bringing with it beautiful, tropical spring flora, fresh from the monsoon rains.

Northern India Family Holiday , July 2018
What an amazing adventure we had with our group of fellow explorers (i.e. new friends worldwide!) and our incredible tour leader, Yaddu. From the Taj Mahal to tigers in the jungle, red hill forts and palaces, dinner in the clouds and snacks on the street - we did it all!

Northern India Family Holiday , July 2018
Our Intrepid adventure has just come to an end and we are so sad to say goodbye to Ravi, our fantastic local guide. Our family trip has exceeded all our expectations and more and has opened our mind to a new culture whilst inhaling the local customs and tasting some delicious food along the way. Intrepid is a great company which will gently lead you off the beaten track into the heartbeat of a country, just like that. One piece of advice though - do travel light, even as a family!

Morocco Family Holiday, July 2018
This was our first Intrepid tour so we didn't really know what to expect. Here is what we found! Included and optional experiences were great. Our guide arranged experiences with locals that felt good and friendly. The transport van was very nice. Accommodations were very basic/rustic in the countryside and better in bigger cities. Overall they were good. if you require 4 and 5 star lodging this might not be your tour. Our guide Ahmed was great. Friendly, very knowledgeable and cared that we had a good experience. Spending time in Morocco was interesting, eye opening and definitely stimulating. The country itself is a bit challenging for westerners. Hot, smelly and smoggy and a bit in your face. However, the people and countryside and seaside were throughout amazing. Our family would recommend this tour.
