Why you'll love this trip
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive in Etosha National Park – home to a wide range of Southern Africa's wildlife, including the endangered black rhino.
  • Glide through the lily-pad-clad waterways of the Okavango Delta on a mokoro (a small dugout canoe) and escape civilisation with an overnight stay at your island camp surrounded by hippos.
  • Listen to the songs and stories of Namibia’s San people, the oldest inhabitants of Southern Africa, and gain an insight into their traditional customs and beliefs.
  • Take an optional cruise down the Chobe River for the opportunity to get up close (but not too personal!) to hippos, crocodiles and the Chobe icon – the magnificent African elephant.
  • Be mesmerised by the staggering force and beauty of Victoria Falls, and experience first-hand why it’s renowned as the ‘smoke that thunders’ – a natural wonder that must be seen to be believed.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust. Donations help employ a team of Community Guardians who collaborate with locals to find sustainable solutions to human-wildlife conflict and conservation in Southern Africa.

Is this trip right for you?
  • This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your own tent, occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, and getting the best possible views of Africa’s iconic wildlife. The drive days can be long, but it’s as much about the journey as the destination, and half the fun is the camaraderie. For more info on this style of travel, see our Africa Overland page:
  • There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.
  • Camping out in the amazing Okavango wilderness means digging a bush toilet and going without a shower. It's all part of the delta experience.

Fantastic trip across Namibia, watching the amazing and spectacular scenery change. We had a fantastic crew. Mambo kept us informed and organised, Charlo created amazing meals and Ken got us safely to each destination. All three of the crew were great fun and made our adventure special.

This is an amazing insight to this part of Africa, though mainly Namibia. If you're lucky to have Mambo, Charlotte or Ken on your crew then you're very lucky. Thank you so much guys for an amazing trip. Perfect is a word I hardly use but applies for how I felt about this trip. Plus the people we shared this experience with were the icing on the cake.
