Take the family to Cambodia and be entranced by this beautiful and enigmatic land.
Steeped in history but young at heart, Cambodia makes for an unbeatable family holiday destination. Impressive museums sit alongside buzzing street markets in the capital Phnom Penh, Battambang blends distinguished old-world airs with amiable small-town charm and Siem Reap boasts both the timeworn temples of Angkor and a plethora of outdoor excursions for the actively inclined. On this trip the whole brood will become acquainted with everyday Khmer life and traditions on guided city tours, cycling forays out into the surrounding countryside, visits to rural village homestays and explorations of World Heritage-listed Angkor Wat. With a careful balancing of included activities and free time, this is a trip perfectly crafted to the whole family.

The Intrepid Cambodia Family holiday was an excellent induction for us as first time tour travelers, (after many years as independent travelers). The tour changed the travel experience allowing us with local guides to be much more informed, entertained and engaged with the local culture, people and environment than we tend to be as independent travelers.

I highly recommend this trip (Cambodia for families with teens). Our trip had 8 children, 10-14 years old, and 8 adults and it was a good number. The trip is well-balanced between structured time and free time - mostly we just went to the pool in our free time as it was so hot and we had already done so much. We hardly did any optional activities as they were not necessary. Our guide was very professional but also a lovely person who seemed to enjoy his job and he was always available to help us out or book a restaurant or whatever we wanted. I am already dreaming about our next family adventure with Intrepid.
