Some discussion between leaders and the group regarding time allocation and preferences would have been good eg less time allocated for lunch stops to allow more viewing time. 'On site' perhaps more free time to revisit areas covered during the guided section to facilitate both appreciating/photographing the 'subject' and listening to/ learning from the guide.
