Intrepid Travel Launches New App to Enhance the Traveller Experience

Intrepid Travel has launched its first mobile app, designed to enhance every stage of the traveller journey, from pre-departure to post-trip reflection, as well as create a greater sense of community and connection among travellers.

Developed in partnership with white-label technology provider TourOptima, the Intrepid App is now available globally on both iOS and Android. It marks a major milestone in Intrepid’s digital transformation, bringing the Intrepid experience directly into travellers’ pockets.

The app is designed to improve the customer experience and nurture a sense of community at every step. Travellers can manage their bookings, view itineraries, and access essential information in bite-sized formats. Real-time updates from trip leaders are delivered directly through the app, keeping travellers informed and supported throughout their journey.

Community is a core part of Intrepid's 2030 vision, and this comes to life in the app by facilitating in-app communication, allowing travellers to connect with fellow group members before departure. This early engagement helps build community and connection before the journey even begins. During the trip, travellers receive timely updates from their local leader and sustainability reminders from The Intrepid Foundation, encouraging deeper engagement with communities in destinations.

The app rollout is being delivered in stages throughout 2025.
