Ngorongoro Lodge Safari Itinerary

Transfer from Arusha to Ngorongoro, stopping along the way at the small village of Mto Wa Mbu. Mingle with locals at the market before enjoying a delicious home-cooked Tanzanian lunch. Take advantage of some free time to explore this village a little more before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the night at a lodge on the crater's rim.

After an early breakfast, descend to the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the remains of an ancient volcano and its walls are home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife. Over 30,000 animals live here including lions, leopards, elephants, impalas, zebras, hippos and endangered black rhinos. Spend time searching them out on an exciting game drive. With many species coexisting in this ecosystem, it's not hard to spot them. Stop for a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha.
