Itinerary

Welcome to Spain’s sassy capital. Pulsating with energy, this city is without doubt a vibrant one. Enjoy the vast array of bars, shops, restaurants and galleries. Art enthusiasts will be mesmerised by the Paseo del Arte, or the Art Walk, which offers a panoramic perspective of Western art history.
Take a bus out to charming Cuenca and explore the Old City, a medieval wonder and now a World Heritage site. Enjoy an orientation walk around town and admire the many ‘hanging houses’, built on the edge of sheer cliffs. Perhaps venture out to the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art or visit the city’s impressive gothic cathedral.
Head east to the coastal town of Valencia, the Spanish gateway to the Mediterranean. Stroll around the local markets, relax on the beautiful beaches and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. Visit the striking cathedral, said to be home to the genuine Holy Grail. Don’t leave town without sampling the city’s world-famous paella.
Jump on a train to Barcelona and discover the city’s gothic architecture and lively art scene. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the old gothic quarter, admire the intriguing La Sagrada Familia Cathedral – the most iconic landmark in the city, and if there’s time, take a funicular to the top of Montjuic or Tibidabo for panoramic views of the city and the harbour.
