Day 1 Alice Springs/Uluru (Ayers Rock)

The outback town of Alice Springs is a travel hub for visitors setting off to the explore the sensational range of natural wonders the Red Centre has to offer. An iconic image of outback Australia and a sacred site for the local Aboriginal people, Uluru's remarkable colour changes are a wonder to behold.

Day 2 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)/Kings Canyon

The ancient rock formations of Kata Tjuta (also known as The Olgas) create an amazing landscape of spectacular domes and canyons.

Day 3 Kings Canyon and the The Giles Track

Wander along the walking tracks of Kings Canyon, where chasms, gorges and surprisingly lush gardens dot the landscape. After lunch, trek out along the Mereenie Loop before heading back to Alice on the Giles Track. Enjoy another night camping beneath a blanket of stars.

Day 4 Alice Springs to Western MacDonnell National Park

The Red Centre’s best kept secret, the Western MacDonnell Ranges will leave you awed at unsuspecting beauty that this part of the country holds.

Day 5 The Ghan (Gold Class)

Spend the day exploring Alice Springs. This evening, hop aboard the legendary Ghan and set off on one of the world’s great train journeys.

Day 6 Katherine/Darwin

Stop off at Katherine to marvel at the stunning Katherine Gorge before continuing on to Darwin.

Day 7 Kakadu/Darwin

Discover ancient Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr before climbing to the most spectacular viewpoint in Kakadu. Finish off your Top End adventure with a dip in the serene plunge pools of Maguk.

Day 8 Mary River/Kakadu

Home to colourful rock art and spectacular scenery, Kakadu National Park is a vast wilderness of rainforest, wetlands, waterfalls and amazing wildlife.

Day 9 Kakadu/Darwin

Discover ancient Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr before climbing to the most spectacular viewpoint in Kakadu. Finish off your Top End adventure with a dip in the serene plunge pools of Maguk.
