Day 1 Yulara/Kata Tjuta/Uluru

Fly into Yulara and drive out to the massive rock formations and canyons of Kata Tjuta. Spend some time becoming acquainted with this remarkable site on the Valley of the Winds hike. Watch the colours of the rock change as the sun sets over Uluru, then snuggle down for a night under the stars in a tent or swag.

Day 2 Uluru/Kings Canyon

Wake to an unforgettable sunrise over the world’s biggest rock face, then venture in for a closer perspective. Join a local Aboriginal guide on a cultural walk to learn more about the sacred importance of this hallowed site.

Day 3 Kings Canyon/Erldunda

Although the Rim Walk hike can be challenging at times, the sights to be savoured of Kings Canyon are incredible. Admire the Garden of Eden oasis, sheer rock walls of the Amphitheatre and weathered sandstone domes of the Lost City before returning for another relaxing evening gathered about a campfire.

Day 4 Coober Pedy

Continue further south across the state border into South Australia. Arrive in the rustic opal mining town of Coober Pedy and head down into a working mine to get a glimpse of this otherworldly industry. Experience local life with a night spent in an underground dugout – an engineering adaption necessary for escaping the area's insufferable heat.

Day 5 Adelaide

Set off on the scenic drive from Coober Pedy to Adelaide, stopping off along the way at salt lakes, Woomera and oceanside ports. Enjoy generous views of classic Australian bushscapes on the final stretch, before wrapping up this trip in attractive Adelaide.
