Why you'll love this trip
Stay on the often-overlooked east coast of Lombok with some time spent in Labuan Pandan, taking a snorkelling trip and enjoying a secluded island lunch and a seafood barbecue dinner.
Enjoy a Sasak dinner and performance at Tetebatu Local Community Center – be introduced to traditional Gamelan music and feast on dishes prepared by the local community in Tetebatu village.
Explore Masbagik – this Sasak village on East side of Lombok is known for its high-quality pottery products that are handmade mostly by the local women.
Walk through rice fields and see how the region's farmers have tended the land for centuries, still using traditional water buffalo ploughs. Then, join in and practice how to plant rice in the traditional way!
Relax on the shores of Gili Air, swimming, snorkelling, eating and repeating – the Gili Islands may just be some of the most stunning stretches of sand you’ve ever seen.

Is this trip right for you?
- Part of travelling with Intrepid means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. Lombok is more conservative than Bali, so it's best to dress conservatively while you're there, particularly in smaller towns and during village walks.
- Walking in the village of Tetebatu is on relatively flat ground, but the terrain can be steep and, at times, slippery or muddy.
- The snorkelling trip off the east coast of Lombok is a great chance to witness the sealife, but bear in mind you'll need to be a confident swimmer to partake in this activity.
- Our accommodation on the east coast of Lombok is remote, and away from the main town. Our simple bungalows and beachside location allow a great chance to unwind and enjoy the slow pace in this slice of paradise.
- This trip is part of a longer itinerary. You might be joining travellers who have already spent some time together. If you have more time to explore, you might like to check out our Bali & Lombok Adventure (TISBC).

Important notes
1. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement excludes Days 2 & 3 (Guesthouse) where you will be in shared accommodation and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
2. This trip concludes on Gili Air. The closest departure flights operate from Bali (Ngurah Rai, DPS) Airport or Lombok International Airport. You can travel by fast boat back to Bali or Lombok. Please allow sufficient time for daily boat transfers and travelling time to meet your onward arrangements. We recommend onward flights that depart after 7pm from Bali or after 1pm from Lombok.
