I had my first trip with Intrepid and overall it was a very good experience. Our tour guide Lisa was amazing and did a great job managing the trip. It was unusually cold and down poured rain during the visit to Cinque Terre. Lisa pivoted to ensure we were able to see all villages despite the bad weather and did it with positivity and cheerfulness. It still ended up being a very good time. I met awesome people during the trip. This trip definitely eased anxieties of traveling outside the country. My only recommendation for improvement is that Intrepid should book all room and board close to transportation and attractions. This was not the case for La Spezia and Rome. Or, Intrepid should be very clear that some hotel locations are rather far so customers can make informed decisions and preplanning. Overall, amazing trip and I'm glad I had the experience!

Our tour leaders Sebastian was simply put the best we could have had. Since he also had two other trainers in training with him we were truly spoiled. We did everything the tour guide had explained and much more. All accommodations were fabulous and located in the best places that we travelled to. Highly recommend Intrepid for any travels you are looking for!

I would highly highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in learning about the food and wine of the different regions of Italy. Everything is taken care of for you and the variety of experiences offered is beyond belief. This is a top quality tour with experienced, passionate leaders. It surpassed all my expectations!

This trip was fantastic! Our guide Emi really made sure we saw everything that we wanted to see, and went above and beyond on recommendations for our downtime. There was a lot of walking on the trip, so make sure that you're up to it, but I find that the best way to see a city is by exploring on foot! We not only saw "the hits" of each city, but were also guided towards more local areas away from the touristy sections. This really helped us get a true feeling for each city.

This is my second trip with Intrepid and it is a company I trust. Our leader was excellent and guided us through the itinerary with professionalism, kindness and knowledge. We visited large cities as well as small villages and our leader always provided us with background information to make the trip more interesting. We had a variety of amazing experiences in Venice and Florence and were sorry we couldn’t spend more time in Rome. The small towns and villages were full of charm. I would highly recommend The Italian Experience for those who wish to see some of the highlights of this fascinating country.
